The co-creator of Call of Duty, who helped create the wildly popular franchise Call of Duty, has died in a car accident in the state of California at the age of 55.

Zampella's death was verified by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, a game studio that he helped create.

The celebrated industry figure lost his life when his automobile collided and burst into flames on a highway in Los Angeles on Sunday morning, as reported by.
