In a bizarre crossover event that breaks conventional expectations, the game developer has announced an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.

Strange Mission Disclosed

According to the formal statement, "A mysterious confrontation pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where hints of prohibited practices and fearsome transformations resonate through the obscurity." The narrative presents a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her companion from a clandestine group.

The mission centers on "strange tests and a terrifying adversary" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Settings and Transformations

The teaser features the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser concludes with a powerful sequence showing a character, likely the captive, morphing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Items and Bonus Content

Players who finish the adventure will obtain an exclusive katana in addition to multiple artifacts concealed throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

Newest Free Story Addition

This release also adds the game's latest no-cost story content, titled "A Puzzlement."
